Is it wrong to question the possibility that the last child, number 4 of 4, has lost a library book when all the other kids before him never have? Our system works to keep track of that without fail.
Is it wrong to question why a library book has been taken out on the very first day of school? First day. It never happens and I don’t actually believe it ever did.
Is it wrong to ignore the numerous papers sent home, starting in pen and then in bold marker as if I need to hear it louder, asking to sign the paper to acknowledge the book was indeed taken out.
Which leads me to….is it wrong to finally take the damn paper and write in big letter on the bottom “Who do I make the blessed check out to????”
Is it also wrong to write a snide comment on the notation part of the check what the stupid $8.00 is for and that I don’t, for a minute, believe the book was ever taken out by my child?
And finally, it is wrong to staple the check to the markered notice? Seven times in various places making said check a bitch to take off and cash?
I thought not.
