Out of quiet time. And what's worse, my husband of almost 20 years has proved he is more crafty and clever than yours truly. What did he do, you ask? Take a seat and take notes ladies. This may be happening to you without your knowledge as well. Let us proceed.
First of all, our children are of the curious and impressive kind. They are especially good at remembering inappropriate language, retaining adult humor, and absorbing violence. So, as good and caring parents we don't allow the young ones to watch rated R movies and actually, most everything on cable tv.
The husband likes to watch said entertainment. Since we don't frequent movie theatres often we rely on Blue Ray and DVD's to get us by. I usually don't share my love's taste in genre so he picks his movie and is banished to the living room while the kids are forced outside or quarantined to the bedroom to watch it all by himself.
All. By. Himself. Alone. Who is watching our spawn while he is lounging and relaxing? That would be me, friends. the one wearing the donkey head. And the worse part is I never made the connection and wouldn't have to this moment had he not slipped up at dinner tonight by bragging.
Ha. Now I'm on to him. The important question is what to do with this knew knowledge? Watch out for your mister or run off to watch a chick flick in your pj's in your quiet room?
